The Family Wealth Alliance has now conducted three Multifamily Office studies, and each one has pointed to the increasing challenge of managing human capital.

Whether it is indeed a shortage of key talent, a misallocation of this human capital, or lack of adequate training or career track in this nascent industry, it is clearly an issue. It is also the major constraint to the continued growth of provider firms, as well as keeping their client families satisfied and retained.

The Alliance is embarking on a new initiative for 2007 that will begin to address this dire need in the marketplace. We will be conducting new research, assembling thought leaders, and hosting an Inaugural Human Capital Summit to address these issues.

Finally, The Alliance is announcing the formation of a consulting initiative that matches the needs of provider firms with retained search firms, outsourcing provider firms, and will even explore joint venture and/or merger alternatives.
