| The Family Wealth Alliance is fortunate to have an experienced management team leading its various initiatives. The firm is also led by a seasoned Board of Directors, and on occasion, calls upon individuals of its member firms to serve on task forces as a part of The Alliance’s Advisory Council.

Casey, Senior Managing Director, Research Teddie Ussery, Senior Managing Director, Education & Consulting Louisa Wright Sellers, Managing Director, Maitreyee B. Angelo, Managing Director, Patty Coen, Managing Director, Events and Projects Rebekah Stoneberg, Office Manager Thomas R. Livergood is Chief Executive Officer of The Family Wealth Alliance. He has been quoted in Financial Times, Business Week, The Wall Street Journal, New York Magazine, the New York Times, Bloomberg Markets and numerous other trade, popular print, broadcast, He has spoken at Campden’s European and Asia Pacific Family Office Conferences in London and Hong Kong, respectively, and has twice been a panelist at the Milken Institute’s Annual Global Conference in Beverly Hills. Tom is the opening session speaker at the 2008 IIR Family Office Forum and has recently spoken at the IMCA National Conference, the Schwab IMPACT Conference, and for three years was the lead-off faculty member for the Chubb Advanced School. In addition, he has spoken at the annual meetings and special gatherings by invitation from organizations such as Ashbridge, Hub, Marsh, Pitcairn, and State Street as well as the FLC and Zero Alpha Groups. Prior to founding The Alliance in 2003, Tom was with Family Office Exchange during the early 2000s, The Harris Private Bank during the 1990s, and CIGNA Financial Services during the 1980s. Among many volunteer positions, he served on the founding national board of the 30,000-member Financial Planning Association (FPA) during its merger of two predecessor organizations. A double graduate of Bradley University, he holds the BA degree in Liberal Arts (1977), the MBA in Finance (1979), and is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP) certificant. Robert W. Casey is Senior Managing Director for Research for The Family Wealth Alliance. He leads the firm’s 3rd Annual Multifamily Office Study and was involved from the beginning in the first two MFO studies with The Alliance’s Bob is also an independent consultant and long-time observer of the financial advisory industry. Consulting clients include investment firms, banks, financial publishers and other organizations interested in the area of wealth management. He developed Wealth Manager magazine and served as founding editor until its sale by Bloomberg LP in 2005. He is former managing editor of American Banker, founding editor of Your Company magazine (now Fortune Small Business) and the original planning editor/Money for USA Today. Bob is a graduate of The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania (MBA), the Medill School of Journalism of Northwestern University (BS, MS) and holds a certificate in financial planning from New York University. Teddie L. Ussery is Senior Managing Director for Education and Consulting for The Family Wealth Alliance. She leads the firm’s Family Education initiative. In addition, she handles many of the Family Office consulting assignments, as well as Private Banking & Trust engagements. Teddie is also Founder of Family Office Matters LLC. For the past 25 years, Teddie has worked to develop the Family Office and to provide As former Senior Vice President of Synovus Trust Company, Teddie founded and led the Family Asset Management Group to sustained growth of $4.2 Billion in assets. She enjoys volunteer positions with a number of boards and foundations as a community and family advocate. Teddie is also a noted national speaker and expert in the Family Office arena and has been quoted in such prestigious publications as Private Asset Management and Bloomberg Wealth Manager. A graduate of Cannon Trust School majoring in Trust Administration, she is a member of several national Family Office entities, including the New York Panel on Family Offices and Family Legacy Group. opportunities, promoting sponsorship of upcoming Louisa is also Founder of Weightman Wealth Advisory LLC, a practice focused on empowering clients with financial knowledge through organization, education and ongoing guidance. She is dedicated to helping families gain a strong understanding of how all the various components of their wealth work together to accomplish their long term goals. She also, when necessary, serves as an independent overseer and advocate for change, if the family’s wealth plan warrants it. Throughout her career, Louisa has focused on advising wealthy, multi-generational families about how to manage and steward their wealth. Her true expertise is investment management, including both traditional and alternative asset classes. However, she also possesses a strong foundation in the tenets of integrated wealthmanagement including experience in estate, tax, and insurance planning, lending and banking arrangements, and lifestyle management. Louisa has written articles for AIMR Publications, the Journal of Wealth Management, employer newsletters and been quoted in Forbes magazine. Louisa is a graduate of Trinity College with a B.A. in Economics. Maitreyee B. Angelo brings a varied set of skills to The Alliance. She is responsible for promoting events, raising awareness of partnership and involvement opportunities, assisting with research projects, and serving as As Managing A/V Producer at Nightingale-Conant Corporation, Maitreyee produced best-selling audio and video programs for training and personal development with world-renowned authors. A specialist on home furnishings and textiles, she has written extensively for several US and foreign trade publications. Under the banner of her firm, Angelo & Associates, Maitreyee provides candidate development services for executive recruiting firms, and focus group moderation for marketing research. Her sales and marketing background includes real estate, engineering services and international media. Maitreyee has been involved with philanthropy since high school, and currently volunteers for The Education Center and various other organizations including World Vision and MADD. Awarded a Rotary International Graduate Scholarship to the University of Wisconsin, Madison, where she received a Master’s degree in Communication Arts, Maitreyee also holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in English (honors) from St. Stephen’s College and University of Delhi, India, and a three-year Diplôme in French from Alliance Française de Delhi. Patty Coen Patty Coen is Managing Director, Events and Projects for the Family Wealth Alliance. Patty brings over 15 years of experience in the meetings and event management industry to the firm. Since 2000, she has owned and managed her own meetings and event company in the Chicago area strategically designing and implementing programs for both corporate and non-profit clients in international and domestic locations. Before that time, she managed the University of Chicago’s Annual Reunion and coordinated the annual fund at a non-profit agency for the mentally disabled in Chicago. She is a member of the Association Forum of Chicagoland and also the Meeting Professional International’s Chicago Area Chapter where she has served on multiple committees. She is also a professor at Lexington College in Chicago and designed the college’s Event Planning concentration.
Patty received a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Notre Dame in South Bend, Indiana in May 1989 and an Bachelor of Arts degree from Rockhurst College in Kansas City, Missouri in May 1984. Rebekah Stoneberg is the Office Manager and Administrative Assistant at The Family Wealth Alliance. She is responsible for After college, Rebekah worked as a paralegal at a midsize Chicago law firm where she developed and honed her administrative and managerial skills. A native of Houston, Texas, Rebekah is a graduate of Wheaton College, Illinois, and she holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Art History (2006).
